CHAIN DRIVEN ROLLER CONVEYORS

A chain conveyor consists of single or multiple endless chains that travel along the entire conveying path. Loads are carried directly on the chain links or on specially designed elements attached to the chain. These chain attachments are integrated in the chain design and can be extruded in any direction or orientation depending on the application thus classifying these types of conveyors into further subdivisions.

Continuous Formation Inclined Bucket Conveyors :

These types of conveyors are of either the chain and slat or chain and flight type where quantities of material such as Bulk granules can be transported and fed out in a controlled manner to suit process requirements.

Apron Chain Conveyors :

Apron Chain Conveyors consist of one or more endless chain or other linkage to which overlapping or interlocking plates or shapes are attached to form a continuous moving bed for bulk materials, package or objects.

Direct Chain Conveyors :

These carry load directly on the chain links without any attached auxiliary members. The chains operate on tracks with top surfaces of the chain projecting sufficiently above the tracks to enable various flat objects to be carried on them. These chains are widely used for conveying products like boxes, cases etc

Pusher Chain Conveyors :

These have chains with attachments or lugs fastened to the chain at intervals so they may push various objects which slide or roll on their own surfaces. This type is used to handle billets plates, pipes, packages etc.

Carrier Chain Conveyors :

These have chains with attachments fastened to or cast integrally with the chain links. These attachments include flat top or crescent top pallets or carriers which presents practically continuous moving surfaces on which objects can be carried directly. Many other attachments like cradles, fixtures, or trays are also available.

Crossbar Chain Conveyors :

These have two strands of chain separated by cross rods at specific intervals. Parts or packages may be suspended from the cross rods or they may be pushed along by the cross rods. Many arrangements have been developed to handle variety of parts and packages.

Overhead Type Chain Conveyors:

These types of chain conveyors are oriented in the reverse of the convention chain conveyor and are designed for direct axial loading on the chain. The framework is compatible to any direction of motion by constraining the degrees of freedom of the chain. They are used to transport components along assembly lines etc.

Scraper Conveyors:

This type utilizes either engineered or round link chains for stickier materials or for where it is desirable to transport the materials in an enclosed manner.
